Doug Mansfield is currently working on the art that will be part of the DEVILISH LIVING ART EXHIBITION. This is a "Tiki Themed" art show that will host many acrylic paintings by Doug Mansfield in various sizes. Doug will be updating this page as he works on the compositions for this collection. Please check back every now and then for updates, photos, news and journal entries!
Journal Entry 1: Sunday December 1st 2024
This will be my first solo exhibition since 2017 which was my "Arcade Addicts" exhibition. I am really excited to share what I have been thinking about and working on. In a way I have had a show like this planned for many years. "Devilish Living" will be a Tiki Themed art show and I intend to make it quite an event. I hope all of you are excited for the show as well. I will be adding to this journal so please check back often...Doug!
This is one of the small pieces I will have at the show. "Beelzebub" measures 17" tall and is cut from masonite. It is wired and ready to hang!
Journal Entry 2: Friday January 3rd 2025
Finished one of the bigger pieces that will be in the show yesterday. "The Devil In Miss Jones" measures 21.75" tall by 30.25" wide. Tiki bar scene where one of the patrons may have had a little too much. Meanwhile El Diablo slides around playing a Ukulele with a menacing smile sporting a fez which sports his name! ...Doug!
Journal Entry 3: Friday January 3rd 2025
My first book will also be available first Friday of September 2025! The book will be titled "Devilish Living...The Complete Works Of Doug Mansfield". The book will document the first 3 solo exhibitions "Hollywood Babylon" "Arcade Addicts" and "Devilish Living" along with custom work done for the world famous Rodney Bingenheimer, Serigraphs produced and published by me, tons of digital art and merchandise. I am really excited about sharing all the work that I have been creating since 2016...Doug!
Journal Entry 4: Saturday January 11th 2025
Just finished another composition "Queen Of The Castle" 16" x 20". This one depicts a couple playing chess in their Recreation Room. Also a giant Tiki and two chess pieces The "King" & "Queen" that are carved into Tiki's as well. Their cat even made it into the scene. It appears as though she may win this one since she is "Queen Of The Castle"...Doug!
Journal Entry 5: Sunday January 12th 2025
Started another composition today, this one right now is titled "Boys Night Out" but not sure if this will remain the final title. A smaller composition at 12" x 16".
Journal Entry 6: Monday January 20th 2025
Finished "Boys Night Out" which is now titled "Zombie A Go-Go". I like the title better and really excited about the way it turned out. Also I think the frame is amazing.

Journal Entry 7: Tuesday January 21st 2025
Started a new painting today. "Jungle Room Romance" will be 16" x 20" bar scene with a room full of cool exotic birds and animals, even got a Wolf Bartender. This one may take a while but it will be a beautiful piece when finished.
